Ukraine and EU increase humanitarian aid cooperation

Ukraine and the European Union will strengthen cooperation on humanitarian aid. The parties discussed a number of issues, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said, Report informs via RBC Ukraine.
In particular, Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchuk took part in the 5th meeting of the EU Senior Officials (SOM) in Brussels. At the meeting, the parties discussed combining humanitarian aid with the restoration of Ukraine, financing humanitarian needs for 2025 and coordination of support from the European Union.
In addition, at a separate meeting with DG ECHO Director General Maciej Popowski, an agreement was reached to expand cooperation, particularly in the area of civilian security.
Last month, the European Union allocated €148 million for humanitarian aid to Ukraine and projects in Moldova for Ukrainian refugees. This brings the total amount of EU humanitarian aid to 1.1 billion euros.
