Two women have been killed in northwestern Spain after torrential rain triggered flooding and landslides, while two children were injured.
According to Reuters, cited by Report, the women, aged around 60 and 80, died in the village of Manzanedo de Valdueza in the Castilla y León region, near Ponferrada.
Two children were hospitalized with bruises following the incident.
Spain's Civil Protection service on Sunday issued warnings for storms and heavy rainfall across seven regions in central and northern parts of the country.
The flooding came after weeks of record-high temperatures that have fueled a series of devastating wildfires across Spain.
