Türkiye is on track to welcome 60 million tourists in the year 2024, the Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok said, Report informs.
The ambassador made this announcement during a speech at an event in Ashgabat, which focused on Türkiye’s tourism industry potential.
Drawing on data from the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), Ambassador Demirok highlighted that Türkiye ranked fourth globally after hosting over 50 million visitors in 2022. The following year saw the country’s tourism revenue reach $54.3 billion, thanks to 56.7 million tourists. Building on this success, Türkiye has set ambitious targets for 2024, aiming to attract 60 million tourists and generate $60 billion in tourism income.
