The Taliban prevented the smuggling of $250,000 to Iran from Herat province in western Afghanistan, the Defense Ministry of Afghanistan said, Report informs via Khaama Press.
During the operation, it was found that the smuggler hid the money in the car seat.
The Taliban did not reveal the suspect's identity or how he obtained the money.
The Taliban government had earlier declared that smugglers were considered national traitors and that they would be treated accordingly if they were arrested.
