Budapest may refuse to veto the European Union's extension of anti-Russian sanctions if the EU promises to ensure Hungary's energy supply security, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto said before the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, Report informs.
"Today at the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting, our vote will depend on whether the European Commission provides a guarantee that it will take necessary actions in all cases when EU member states' energy security is threatened by factors originating from outside the European Union," he noted.
