Spain won’t return its ambassador to Argentina

Spain has decided to permanently recall its ambassador to Argentina, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said at a press conference in Madrid, Report informs referring to foreign media.
“The ambassador will be in Madrid on a permanent basis. Argentina will be left without an ambassador,” he noted.
The Spanish ambassador left the country on May 20, but initially there was talk of recalling him for consultations. The decision was made after Argentine President Javier Milei accused the wife of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Begona Gomez, of corruption.
