Indonesia was shaken near Bangsal, West Nusa Tenggara, by an earthquake of magnitude 6.9, the United States Geological Survey reported.
According to Report, the quake hit at a great depth of 525 km beneath the epicenter near Bangsal, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, early morning on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 3:56 am local time.
The strength of the earthquake may have been tempered by its relative great depth below the surface, which makes it feel weaker in absolute terms.
