Fires and explosions occurred in the warehouses of Bulgaria's Emco military plant, according to a statement from local authorities, Report informs via Nova TV.
The incident took place overnight on September 12, in the village of Tsareva Livada, near Tryavna.
No injuries were reported, and warehouse security staff were evacuated. Officials confirmed there was no danger to the local population.
In response, Bulgaria activated its national emergency warning system. This marks the second explosion at the military plant within a month. The first occurred on August 10 near the village of Belitsa, also close to Tryavna, when a truck caught fire and a munitions warehouse was damaged.
