Saudi MFA: Drones hit oil pipeline from Iraq

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) strongly condemned the attack on the East–West main oil pipeline.

According to Report, citing the ministry's statement, several drones launched from Iraqi territory struck the pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions, causing injuries to several people and damage to infrastructure.

At the same time, Riyadh has decided to temporarily refrain from retaliatory measures. The ministry explained that this decision was made at the request of Iraq's Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi.

Saudi Arabia intends to allow Baghdad to independently take the necessary steps to prevent future attacks launched from Iraqi territory against the Kingdom and neighboring states.

It was emphasized that Riyadh reserves its legal right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, safeguard critical infrastructure, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
