Russian strike on Kyiv region's Bucha district kills 27

Twenty-seven people were killed and 42 others injured, including four children, in a Russian strike on the Bucha district of Ukraine's Kyiv region, Kyiv Regional Military Administration Head Timur Tkachenko said in a post on Telegram.

Report quotes him as saying among those killed was Taras Didych, head of the Dmytrivska community, who was among the first to arrive at the scene following the strike.

Emergency response and firefighting operations are continuing at the site, including debris removal, firefighting and search-and-rescue efforts. Buildings and the surrounding area are also being inspected.

All 42 injured people received medical assistance, with seven of them hospitalized.

A total of 381 people, including 59 children, were evacuated from the affected area.

According to preliminary data, around 50 residential buildings sustained varying degrees of damage.
