Russia hopes to restore full‑scale relations with the United States, President Vladimir Putin stated during the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum, Report informs via Russian media outlets.
"As for our relations with the US administration, they continue. We are still in contact with them. I hope these contacts will continue," the Russian leader noted.
He emphasized that Russia supports the restoration of relations in a comprehensive format, but noted that this depends not only on Moscow, but also on the US.
Putin also remarked that US President Donald Trump is focused on positive and constructive work: "As far as I understand and see, President Trump is oriented toward such positive and constructive work," he added.
