Poland eyes banning gas, coal imports from Russia

Poland plans to ban gas and coal imports from Russia in the coming months, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Poland Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk said in an interview with Berliner Zeitung, Report informs.
“Even if the European Union does not make such a decision, we ourselves will make it within a few months to set a good example and encourage other countries to do the same,” Szynkowski vel Sęk said.
He also stressed that only a joint decision of the European states can have a significant impact on the Russian economy.
