Three people went missing, three are in critical condition and more than 40 people were injured in rainfalls that followed Typhoon Mawar in Japan, Secretary General of the country's Government Hirokazu Matsuno said at a press conference in Tokyo.
One was earlier reported dead.
Heavy rain showers moved from south to north along Japan's east coast on Thursday and Friday last week as Typhoon Mawar advanced. In some areas, more than a month's rainfall fell during the day.
