Orban offers Russia, Ukraine mediation in negotiations process

Prime Minister Viktor Orban has invited Vladimir Putin to hold talks between Russia and Ukraine in Hungary, Report informs, citing Reuters.

“Orban said he invited Putin to peace talks in Hungary with the participation of the Ukrainian and French presidents, as well as the German chancellor. He said that Putin's response was positive, but the Russian president warned that he would have conditions,” Reuters maintains.

The Hungarian prime minister spoke about the talks held on Wednesday with the Russian leader at a press conference.

As previously reported in the Kremlin, Moscow allows a meeting between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but it is possible after agreeing on the text of the agreement between the parties.

In his turn, the Ukrainian president suggested that the meeting might not take place.
