Nuland: " It is important to be ready for Russia to use various types of weapons"

The United States does not rule out the use of nuclear weapons by Russia and is therefore sending a signal to Russian President Vladimir Putin that this step will have absolutely catastrophic consequences for him and for Russia, the US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland told Evropeyska Pravda, Report informs, citing Pravda.

She said that Putin had already ordered [his soldiers] to commit horrific and brutal war crimes, so anything is possible and "it is important to be ready for Russia to use various types of weapons with catastrophic consequences".

"Right now, we - and not only the United States, but also other members of the transatlantic community - are urging Putin that this step will be a catastrophe not only for Ukraine and the world but also for Putin and Russia", Nuland said.
