Norway and Ukraine have signed a 10-year agreement on security cooperation and long-term support on Friday. As part of this agreement, the Norwegian government will provide Ukraine with a total of over $328 million in military assistance.

Report informs that, according to a statement from the Norwegian government, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre of Norway and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine signed the agreement to strengthen cooperation in security policy.

The majority of the funds, amounting to $190.2 million, will be allocated to an initiative aimed at enhancing Ukraine's air defense capabilities.

Additionally, Ukraine will receive naval support worth $71.3 million, which will be used for equipment and training.

This year, Norway will provide at least around €1.2 billion (approximately $1.3 billion) in military aid to Ukraine.
