Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the 42-year-old suspect in the devastating New Orleans terrorist attack on January 1, 2025, has been identified as an employee of the consulting firm Deloitte.
Report informs via NBC News that the company verified the authenticity of the information in a statement.
According to Deloitte's statement, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the suspect in yesterday's terrorist attack, had been working at Deloitte as a full-time employee since 2021.
The Wall Street Journal gained access to a copy of Jabbar's Deloitte profile, which indicated that he held the position of Leading Solutions Specialist at the company in the fall of 2024. On his work page, Jabbar listed hunting, prayer, and quoted the Quran among his interests. On December 24, 2024, he posted a message on his page stating that he was out of the office and planned to return to work after January 1, 2025, the day of the terrorist attack. The Journal noted that his profile is currently deactivated.
The tragic attack claimed the lives of 15 people and left 30 others injured, sending shockwaves through the city of New Orleans and the nation as a whole.
