Netanyahu describes UK as 'first Islamic republic to get a nuclear weapon'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the United Kingdom would become the "first Islamic republic to get a nuclear weapon."

Report informs that the Israeli prime minister made the remarks in an interview with Galey Tsahal army radio.

"The first Islamic republic with nuclear weapons will be the Islamic Republic of Britain. Therefore, we are making sure that Iran does not become another nuclear-armed republic," Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu praised positive coverage of Israel by the journalist Randolph Churchill, the son of former prime minister Winston Churchill, over half a century ago, then said: "Go find that in today's Britain, in what is called the Islamic republic of Britain."
