NATO trying to prevent war with Russia – Stoltenberg

We are trying to prevent a war with Russia, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in a briefing held at the headquarters of the Alliance in Brussels, Report informs.
He added that NATO has taken various measures for this.
Stoltenberg said that the strengthening of NATO's presence near the borders with Russia is to prevent a possible military conflict.
The Secretary General said that after the start of the war in Ukraine almost 2 years ago, in February 2022, NATO had two tasks: "To support Ukraine and to prevent a large-scale escalation between Russia and NATO."
