Mount Etna eruption disrupts flights at Catania airport

Catania airport in Sicily has suspended incoming flights due to the eruption of Mount Etna, Report informs, citing Italian media.
The restrictions are expected to be reviewed in the evening. Departures from Catania are still being allowed.
Etna, located on Sicily's eastern coast near the cities of Messina and Catania, became active in late June. According to Italian scientists, the volcano sent an ash column 1.5 kilometers into the air on Sunday morning.
