Most attacks on German political parties targeted Greens last year

Representatives and offices of the Green Party of Germany faced the highest number of attacks in 2024 compared to other political forces in the country, the German Interior Ministry said in response to an inquiry from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) faction in the Bundestag, Report informs via DPA news agency.

Overall, the number of attacks in 2024 reached the highest level in the entire six-year observation period, the agency notes. Across Germany, a total of 635 such incidents were identified, with 3,964 Green Party representatives affected. In some cases, these involved violence, insults, the agency specifies.
