Merkel, Biden hold phone talk

US President Joseph Biden and German Chancellor Angela Merkel had a telephone conversation, Report informs, citing the press service of the German Cabinet of Ministers.
The sides discussed foreign policy, especially Afghanistan and Iran, and trade and climate strategies. The chancellor invites Biden to visit Germany.
Addressing the novel coronavirus infection, the parties said that the fight against the pandemic requires international efforts.
Merkel also expressed readiness to address global challenges together with European and transatlantic partners.
