Large blaze burns distillery in Greece

A distillery near the city of Rethymno, Crete (Greece), was completely destroyed on Tuesday after a large fire broke out in its premises, the fire Department said, Report informs referring to the Ekathimerini.

The flames spread rapidly due to the flammable products stocked in the building while a large contingent of 21 firefighters with 17 fire engines and a unit on foot have been sent to the scene.

Efforts are focusing on preventing the flames from spreading to neighboring properties.

Fire investigators are also in the area to look into the causes of the blaze.
