Kazakhstan sets record for exports of vegetable oil and animal feed to China

From September 2024 to February 2025, Kazakhstan set a record for railway shipments of vegetable oil and high-tech animal feed to China.

Report's Kazakhstan bureau informs, citing the press service of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), that transportation of compound feed increased fivefold compared to the same period last year, reaching 748,000 tons. The growth in exports of high value-added products was observed both in covered railcars and in containers.

"The export of vegetable oil continues to grow: over the past six months, 93,000 tons have been supplied, which is 19% more than in the 2023/24 marketing year and 47% higher than the figure for the 2022/23 marketing year," the report states.

Additionally, Kazakhstan has shipped 794,000 tons of raw grain and 171,000 tons of processed grain products to China.
