Japan insists on diplomatic solution to Israel-Iran conflict

Japan firmly supports the importance of a diplomatic solution to the conflict between Israel and Iran and calls on both sides to exercise restraint and act within the framework of international law, Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya told a press conference, Report informs.
"Our country once again calls on all parties to act in accordance with international law and resolve issues through negotiations," he noted.
According to the foreign minister, the Japanese side, in turn, will continue its diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict.
Earlier, Takeshi Iwaya informed journalists about the successful evacuation of 87 Japanese citizens and their family members from Iran to Jordan and Azerbaijan.
