Japan Airlines suspends ticket sales due to cyber attack

Japan Airlines Corporation (JAL) information systems were affected by a cyber attack on Thursday, forcing its employees to suspend ticket sales for international and domestic flights until the end of the day, Report informs via Kyodo News.
"Through the Ministry of Transport, we have asked JAL to restore systems as soon as possible and assist customers affected by the incident," Japanese Cabinet Secretary General Yoshimasa Hayashi said.
According to the agency, the hacker attack targeted systems related to baggage handling. As a result, JAL management had to delay 24 domestic flights and make changes to some international flight schedules.
There is no information about who authorities suspect to be behind the incident.
