IDF eliminates Hamas commander

A Hamas commander who raided the IDF's Re'im base during the October 7, 2023, onslaught was killed in an airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip yesterday, the military announces, Report informs referring to The Times of Israel.
The IDF says the strike killed Yahya Saeed Mohammed Hamdan, the commander of a Nukhba Force cell.
On October 7, Hamdan raided the Re'im base, which houses the headquarters of the IDF's Gaza Division, according to the military.
Recently, Hamdan worked to advance attacks on troops, as well as to restore Hamas's capabilities, and therefore, he "posed an immediate threat," the IDF says.
