The head of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) Krzysztof Trofiniak has resigned due to a conflict with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic over the production of 155 mm artillery ammunition, according to the official statement on the PGZ website, Report informs via TASS.
"On April 2, 2025, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Polish Armaments Group Krzysztof Trofiniak resigned from his post," reads the statement.
According to Polish media, the reason for Trofiniak's resignation was the dissatisfaction of the Defense Ministry of the Republic with the too-low rate of production of shells of this caliber at the enterprises of the state concern - 50,000 pieces per year.
The resignation had been in preparation for a long time, notes the radio station RMF FM.
