The UN should be reformed to reflect current geopolitical conditions rather than the realities of the past, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said on Sunday, according to Indian media, cited by Report.
"Today"s economic, demographic and geopolitical realities are different from the situation in 1945. And our structures should reflect this," he said said as he addressed the BRICS summit in India.
Guterres noted that "the countries represented at this summit are an illustration of how much realities are changing in the world. We are moving faster and faster toward a multipolar world."
