We have reached a mutual agreement on the settlement of relations with Türkiye, Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis said in an interview with Anadolu, Report informs.
He said that the misunderstandings between the two countries are not an obstacle to continuing diplomacy: “We have agreed to put the existing problems aside.”
The Greek minister stressed that there is a need to take steps to create an atmosphere of trust between the two countries in the fields of defense and military and to develop relations: “We must work together to ensure peace. There are those who oppose the development of relations in both countries. This was to be expected. But we have to live together. I am in favor of further reducing the tension.”
Gerapetritis said that it is necessary to focus on common points rather than differences of opinion: “For example, in the near future, we have a roadmap for signing agreements in the fields of economy, tourism, and culture.”
