The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, Tea Akhvlediani held a meeting with Louis Bono, the US Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations, Report informs via First Channel (Georgian TV channel).
According to the Ministry’s press office, Tea Akhvlediani thanked the foreign diplomat for the US firm support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders and emphasized the US role in the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict in Georgia.
The parties emphasized the importance of international discussions in Geneva and the necessity of moving forward.
The US Senior Advisor reiterated the United States’ steadfast support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders, as well as the government’s peace policy. The parties have agreed to maintain close collaboration,” reads the statement.
