The German Ministry of Defense is planning to procure a new generation of long-range cruise missiles, the Taurus Neo, as part of its efforts to strengthen the capabilities of the Bundeswehr, Germany's armed forces. Report informs via Der Spiegel that the defense ministry aims to equip the military with 600 Taurus Neo missiles at an estimated cost of 2.1 billion euros.
If the procurement plan moves forward, the first batch of Taurus Neo missiles could be delivered to the Bundeswehr as early as 2029. However, the project's implementation hinges on the defense ministry's ability to secure the necessary funding.
