The total number of deaths for the entire time of the pandemic in Germany reached 114,735. In a country with a population of 83.2 million people, more than 6.2 million have recovered.

According to the preliminary results of a special assessment by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany, the annual death rate in Germany for the first time since 1946 exceeded 1 million people and amounted to 1,016,899.
