FT: Over time, US will provide Ukraine with fighter jets

Washington said that, most likely, fighter jets will be given to Ukraine, Report informs, citing the Financial Times.

Washington officials admit that they will provide Ukraine with more advanced aircraft as the war drags on, or at least give the green light to transfers of F-16s from other countries.

According to the sources, the issue of providing fighter jets to Kyiv will be discussed at the next meeting of defense ministers of NATO member countries in Brussels on Tuesday. Sources also noted that aircraft acquisition is a long-term goal for Ukraine.

As noted, Kyiv's priority is buying ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Officials said that western countries will pledge additional ammunition and air defense equipment to Kyiv during the meeting in Brussels.
