Floods kill 13 people in Mali

At least 13 people have died and another 23 have been injured in floods in Mali, the Crisis Coordination and Management Center of Mali's Ministry of Security and Civil Protection said.

According to Malijet, cited by Report, the disaster affected seven regions of the country. A total of 479 residential buildings were destroyed, while 1,933 households, or 12,405 people, were affected.

Authorities are taking measures to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to people who have been left without shelter and food. Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the floods are ongoing.
