Finnish FM: EU plans to prepare 18th sanctions package against Russia

The European Union (EU) intends to begin preparing the 18th sanctions package against Russia, Finland's Foreign Minister, Elina Valtonen, stated before the meeting of NATO countries' foreign ministers in Türkiye, Report informs.
"I believe that we made the right decision regarding the adoption of the 17th sanctions package, and now we will begin preparing a new package," she noted.
Meanwhile, EU ambassadors agreed on the 17th sanctions package against Russia on May 14. EU foreign ministers will approve it on May 20.
