Financial aid to Ukraine from Western countries reaches $30 billion since start of year

Ukraine has received almost $30 billion in financial aid from Western countries since the beginning of 2023, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said during a Cabinet meeting, Report informs via TASS.

"Thanks to cooperation with partners, we have already managed to raise almost $30 billion in support of Ukraine," he said.

Earlier, Shmyhal reported that the military spending of the Ukrainian budget in 2023 would reach $48.7 billion.

Ukraine's budget for 2023 has a record $38 billion deficit. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that the West would help Kyiv cover the deficit.
