Failure to hold elections will lead to chaos: Polish president

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Poland needs to hold presidential elections on May 10, said President Andrzej Duda, Report informs citing RT.
“Those who claim that the elections will pose a threat to the Polish people should understand that failure to hold elections will lead to paralysis of the state. New rules and norms will be needed. We need to overcome the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, new elections must be held,” the Polish president stressed.
According to him, if Poland does not elect its president, this will cause chaos in the country.
On April 6, the Polish parliament approved election only by postal vote. The first round of the presidential elections has been scheduled for May 10.
