Ex-officials, politicians detained in Kyrgyzstan for 'preparing mass riots'

The Internal Affairs Ministry of Kyrgyzstan detained more than a dozen former officials, including high-ranking officials, as well as politicians on suspicion of preparing mass riots, Report informs via TASS.
"More than ten detainees, among whom there are ex-officials, public figures and politicians, are being investigated under the article' Preparation to organize mass riots' of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. In accordance with the law, searches were carried out in their homes, and some were detained," a source in the ministry said.
According to the source, the arrest of the suspects "will be decided in the courts."
The source refused to give the names of the detainees, explaining that soon they would be revealed "at the official level."
According to Kyrgyz media, as of today, searches were carried out in the houses of ex-deputy of the national parliament Ravshan Jeenbekov, former judge of the Constitutional Court Klara Sooronkulova, ex-member of the Central Election Commission Gulnara Jurabaeva, politicians Zhenish Moldokmatov, Keneshbek Duishebaev and Kubanychbek Kadyrov.
