The issue of sanctions against Russia's Rosatom is not on the agenda right now, David O'Sullivan, EU Special Envoy for Sanctions, said in an interview with Kazakhstan's Silkway TV channel.
He noted that no sanctions have been imposed on Rosatom.
"The EU does not have a special position on the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan. The decision is up to Kazakhstan," O'Sullivan said responding to the question about Rosatom's inclusion into the short list of potential suppliers of nuclear technologies for construction of a nuclear plant in Kazakhstan.
