EU plans to fully digitalize Schengen visa procedure by 2025

The European Commission intends to completely digitalize the process of applying for a Schengen visa by 2025, Report informs referring to the European Commission website.
“Today, the Commission is proposing the digitalization of the Schengen visa process, replacing the visa sticker, and introducing the possibility to submit visa applications online through the European online visa platform. The New Pact on Migration and Asylum set the objective to fully digitalize visa procedures by 2025,” reads a statement by the European Commission.
