EU foreign policy chief heads to Lebanon in effort to cool tensions between Israel, Hezbollah

EU’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, will be in Lebanon from 5 January to 7 January to discuss the situation at the Israeli-Lebanese border and the importance of avoiding regional escalation, the EU said in a statement, Report informs via The Guardian.
The statement said:
“Borrell will re-emphasize the need to advance diplomatic efforts with regional leaders.”
