Erdogan: Sanctions against Syria must be lifted

Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Report informs via TRT Haber.
Erdogan noted that it is necessary to begin Syria's reconstruction without delay.
During the conversation with Meloni, the Turkish leader also called on Italy to lead the process of lifting sanctions on Syria.
The sides also discussed bilateral agenda. Erdogan expressed confidence in the possibility of increasing mutual trade volume. He emphasized interest in strengthening mutual cooperation in many areas, especially in defense industry and energy sectors.
