Erdogan expected to visit Syria

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to visit Syria, Türkiye's temporary charge d'affaires in Syria, Burhan Koroglu, said in a statement, Report informs.
Koroglu said that Erdogan is considering a Syria visit after Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. However, the diplomat did not disclose the date of Erdogan's possible trip.
Speaking about the new era in Syria, Burhan Koroglu said that Türkiye-Syria relations will be similar to those during the Ottoman period.
A few days ago, Erdogan announced that Fidan would go to Damascus. Before this, the head of the National Intelligence Organization, Ibrahim Kalin, had visited Syria.
