During a joint press conference with Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described US President Joe Biden's recent statement about initiating a new effort to establish a ceasefire in Gaza as "very belated, but an important step".
According to Report, Erdogan emphasized that without an urgent, fair, and lasting ceasefire in Gaza, achieving regional and global peace is impossible. He reiterated Türkiye's readiness to do everything in its power, whether through mediation or guarantees, to ensure a sustainable ceasefire.
