Training Ukrainian military pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets will take six to eight months, Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Kajsa Ollongren said, Report informs referring to TASS.
“For the F-16, we have begun moving towards pilot training. If you train Ukrainian pilots, engineers and other personnel in the handling of the F-16, then in the future they should use them. But this requires a separate decision, since this is a US system. When Washington gave the green light for preparations, we began to implement appropriate measures, but for the transfer [of fighters] a separate decision is needed from Washington, this is the next step," she noted.
