Defense Ministry of Latvia prepares measure to reduce spendings

The Ministry of Defense of Latvia is preparing large-scale measures to save money in the defense sector, Report informs via Latvian News Agency.

The order of the Minister of Defense Artis Pabriks on large-scale saving measures in the defense sector is being prepared, the agency said.

The measures include saving funds on heating, electricity, repair works, etc.

The Latvian Ministry of Defense is already coordinating energy-saving measures among subordinate agencies. At the same time, a strategy for broader use of renewable and local energy resources is being developed in defense enterprises.
