Death toll from Ebola in Congo surpasses 300

The number of confirmed deaths from the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo has risen by 13 in the past 24 hours, reaching 304.
According to Report, the country's Ministry of Communication and Media announced this in its daily bulletin.
The number of infections increased by 37, bringing the total to 1,155. The fatality rate stands at 26.3%.
Currently, 326 patients are being treated in hospitals and isolation centers. Contact tracing has reached 79.2%.
In total, 138 people have fully recovered and been discharged from medical facilities.
The Ebola epidemic began on May 15 in eastern DR Congo, with its epicenter in Ituri Province. Cases of infection and death have also been recorded in neighboring Uganda.
