CNN: US plans to expand sanctions against Russia

The United States is planning to significantly expand the list of sanctions against Russia in the near future, Report informs, citing CNN that US officials said.

According to sources, the sanctions will affect high-ranking Russian officials, including people close to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The list of people who will fall under the sanctions is being prepared to take into account the proposals of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which he presented to US President Joe Biden during a telephone conversation last week, a source told the TV channel.
