China to host SCO Defense and Security Forum

China will host the Fifth Defense and Security Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) from November 20 to 29, the country's Defense Ministry said on Friday, according to Report.

"The Chinese Ministry of Defense will hold the Fifth Forum on Defense and Security of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization from November 20 to 29, 2023, and representatives of defense ministries, experts and scientists from SCO member states, observer countries and dialogue partner countries are invited to it," the ministry said in a statement.

The purpose of the event is to study and discuss ways to deepen SCO cooperation in the field of defense and security, as well as to make an active contribution to building a closer community with a common destiny for the SCO.
